A wide range of jewellery work is carried out at the shed. See below for examples.
Above are examples of beaten copper work, showing designs that have been either embossed to leave raised designs or hammered to give a textured finish.

Enamelling is another one of the processes being developed in the Men's Shed. Examples are displayed below.
There are two types of enamelling we do. the more straightforward and safer method is efcolor, which uses resin powders easily applied to any metal, even wood ( the temperature only reaches 150 Degs.) and is fired in a tabletop kiln heated with tealights. The other method uses glass, either powdered or in chips and strands and referred to as vitreous enamelling. For this method, the temperature is far higher and we use either a gas torch or electric kiln to fire it.
